Netflix is proud to announce an investment of £350,000 to support three groundbreaking organizations that have long championed diversity in the UK's TV and film sector:

Identity School of Acting will receive funding to provide 30 full, year-long scholarships to deserving students.

Million Youth Media will benefit from resources that will allow them to double the number of young people they engage with across the UK.

Mama Youth will receive support to expand their operations and equip more young individuals with the skills needed for careers in broadcast and media.

These organizations, founded and led by visionaries like Femi Oguns, Teddy Nygh, Rosa Powlowski, Nicky Bedu, and Bob Clarke, have spent over a decade creating pathways for underrepresented talent. Their dedication to diversity in storytelling, often using their own time and resources, has been truly extraordinary.

This investment is a continuation of the $5 million fund Netflix established in July 2020, aimed at fostering opportunities for Black creators and youth. It also complements our recently launched UK Documentary Talent Fund and other initiatives, such as the Top Boy Directors Shadow Scheme, a collaboration with Cowboy Films that has already helped launch the career of director Nia DaCosta, set to helm Marvel's Captain Marvel sequel.
