More NHL offseason: | | | Rob Blake is officially returning to the Los Angeles Kings organization.Blake spent the majority of his 20-year playing career with the team, and the Kings announced on Thursday that Blake has been hired as their new a sistant general manager.Building the Kings Blake, 43, will Dustin Byfuglien Jersey replace Ron Hextall, who left the team this week to take a similar position with the Philadelphia Flyers. Part of Blake's responsibilities will be to serve as the general manager for their AHL team, the Manchester Monarchs.Following his playing career, which saw him score 240 goals in 1,270 games as one of his era's best defensemen, Blake spent time in the NHL offices as its Hockey Operations Manager, a sisting Brendan Shanahan with player discipline. Along with the Kings, Blake also spent time with the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks. He won his only Stanley Cup as a member of the 2000-01 Avalanche, acquired by Colorado at the trade deadline. Lukas Reichel Jersey
