Carlos Mendozas displeasure with called strikes late in Sundays Subway Series finale got the Mets skipper sent to the clubhouse early. Mendoza was to sed in the bottom of the ninth after he loudly disagreed with home plate ump John Bacons call on a 0-1 and 0-2 pitch to Luis Torrens that appeared to mi s the strike zone both times at Citi Field. The SNY broadcast showed Mendoza yelling toward Bacon after the first strike call for several moments and getting more animated before the at-bat continued. Mendozas blood pre sure spiked again after Bacon called another low strike to complete the strikeout. "I like when he kicked dirt on home plate. I love it."
